We don't get to spend too much time in this room, because we don't like the carpet, and the dirt, but we really should, seeing as how this is the most fun room in the house.
In our game room we decided to go with Natural Slate tile... (also from Home Depot)
We had a very helpful sales associate that went over all of the basics with us.
Once we got all of the carpet out of the room, we cut the tile that transitioned into the game room, and made it angled to match the walls. Then we pulled all of the base boards off, and started cleaning the floor.
Dan laid all of the tile down with the help of a friend of ours; Thom Kelley, in just two days. We then sealed the floor and went on to grout it, and sealed it again. I would have like to have helped, but was stuck at work preparing for an audit.
We amazingly finished before Thursday night, and got to get the room straightened back out just in time for Noah's birthday party on Saturday!
We still have to get the base boards up sometime this week.
