I had a great birthday.. We celebrated on Saturday instead of Friday, by inviting all of our friends over for some 'Dan-made' organic lasagna. We also had some sparkling spiked apple cider, and pleasant conversation.
We all went out to find a Christmas tree earlier in the day, and the kids picked a custom cut chubby tree. Upon bringing it in the house we realized how ginormous it really was, but after some trimming it fit just right. It still hasn't really spread out from being tied together for so long.
On Sunday, Dan, myself and the kids cooked up some homemade ornaments for the tree. There were some gingerbread people, horses, reindeer, each of out initials, some hearts, diamonds, a dog biscuit complete with real Sophie teeth imprints, and a wiener dog ornament hand crafted by yours truly (Sophie is so spoiled). We made everything out of flour, salt and water, then cooked it at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.
We plan on painting and decorating the ornaments on Christmas Eve (which is also Bailey's 15th birthday).
(pictures coming soon-- I forgot my camera at work)
